Sänkning av VNE
i Tyskland på Ikarus C42-B
My name is Horst Lieb from Comco Ikarus GmbH in Germany. I have had a look to your Scandinavian ultralight news site and I want you to know, that there wasn't a vibration problem for the C42 at this time. The reason for lowering the Vne to180 km/h is a missing document. 2001 there was made an agreement between the German DAeC and their auditors, to request a simulated shaker activated, very complicated flatter test with a computer analysis (very expensive too), for all ultralights which have a diving speed more than 200 km/h. Even the prototype of the C42 had this. This recommendation is not written down anywhere in the German built standard and it is not recommended by the authorities in other countries. I don't know why, but they forgot to ask for this for the C42 B and recognized this last summer. The normal high speed flatter checks we have done as recommended in the German BFU95. We agreed to do this new test not to block anything in relation with the C42B. The only reason for lowering the speed is that this analysis is not completed at this time. There has never been a vibration problem with any of the C42s or C42 Bs (in the meantime more than 500 units) in the past. I know this is a bit complicated but it is necessary
to avoid the impression, that there has been a flatter problem in the past. |
